I would highly recommend to install printer on network. I've seen printer gibberish like that from bad drivers, using the wrong driver for the printer, not enough printer memory for the jobs, and font or graphics embedded in the document not working with the printer wrote:Īnd drivers for HP Color LaserJet Pro M454dw It was about 10 years ago at this point, but I think the printer had its own surge protector or power regulator built in, and it didn't work properly when plugged into another surge protector. Plugging it directly into the wall outlet fixed the problems. I had an HP like that, with odd print behavior because it was plugged into a surge protector. Again, wouldn't think that'd cause this specific issue but who knows. That forum also said to check and see if the cartridge still has the sealing tape in it. I never heard of that before but maybe something to look into. Also, I read on HP's support forum that it's possible if the printers plugged into a surge protector it could cause communication issues with the printer and the PC.
